Micha Gamerman – RRRabim (Official Music Video)

$

0

Brazilian superstar Micha Gamerman is always looking to release something new and exciting. This brand new single/video is probably his most adventurous and fun ever.

The new song titled “Rabim” was composed and arranged by American hit marker Elie Schwab. The words from DOVID HAMELECH in tehillim say ?טוב יראנו ימ אומרים רבים People say, who is going to bring us/do for us good? There are many p’shotim on this possuk. What Elie connected to, was the explanation from Rashi and Ibin Ezra. The possuk is saying that we need a Nes to see something good, because there is so much bad in the word. DOVID HAMELECH responds בחלקי לשמוח בלבי נתתה that I am feeling good and happy with what I have, not just financially, but everything that I have is exactly what I need.

Now, Micha is never too serious and wanted a fun and unique way to show the message of this song in a video. He took Elie’s idea to the next level. The word RABIM is pronounced differently around the world. Israeli/American, Ashkenaz/Sefaradi each place has its own way of pronouncing this word. So Micha wanted to show that it doesn’t matter where you are from, what your background is or how you say the word, we are ALL Bnei Yisrael and all brothers and sisters. To bring this point out, Micha travelled to an amazing beach in Brazil to shoot this exciting video. Using amazing technology that allowed him to clone himself without green screen, Micha argues with his other selves about the pronunciation of Rabim (Rabim or RRRABIM). When a accident happens, that is when the fun begins and the video comes to life. So click play to begin your musical journey, as Rabim is sure to be the most fun video you will see this year.

DANNY PALGON – BOU (Official Music Video)

I’ve been singing for a long time but once I finished my last final exam after my first year of law school I made the decision that I was going to make an album, no questions asked – it was going to happen. After long discussions with my friend and mentor Mordechai Shapiro on how exactly to go about my next move, I decided that coming out with a single was the next step. (Hopefully, an album to come soon ;)

It took many late nights jamming on the keyboard and brainstorming music video ideas for everything to come together but I couldn’t be more excited about the final product. BOU is a song of positivity and action – and gives over the message that it is only when we are able to put our values and beliefs into action, that good things can truly happen. I hope you enjoy!

Lyrics:

And every day, to Him I pray
To help me look and see the beauty he created.
And I know, yes I know
He’s always there with me each second of each and every day.
Every day, he guides the way
And He fills my life with meaning, he fills my soul with light,
And I know, yes I know
He gives me life.

The Holy Hunchback | English Ver. | Aaron Razel

Some years ago I was walking down a street in Tel Aviv. I saw an old man, he was sweeping the streets. His eyes were filled with grace, his body was all broken, a special light was shining from his face. I approached him and said: “Shalom Aleichem”. He replied as in the shtet’l: “Aleichem Shulem!” I continued in Yiddish: “Mein zisseh Yid”, sweet brother Jew, “would you tell me where are you from?”

When he said: “I’m from Piaseczno”, it was like a bomb went off inside me: never had I met a survivor from that town.
“As a child, did you ever see Rebbe Klonimus Kalman?” I asked. “Of course”, he said, “one doesn’t forget his childhood Rebbe.
When I was 11 I got to Auschwitz. They thought I was 17 and sent me to the labor camps. Now I’ve got no one. I am alone in this world.” He went on sweeping the streets.

“Kinderlach, tayereh zisseh kinderlach.
Promise me you will remember this forever:
The greatest thing in the whole wide world is to do someone else a favor.”

I told him: “My friend, I heard so much of Rebbe Kalman, can you tell me some Torah wisdom you learned from him?”
He looked at me and said: “Do you really think after Auschwitz, there is something that we still can remember? And how can I ever describe how beautifully we welcomed the Shabbat. We danced and danced all the children around the Rebbe.
Oh yes, there is one thing I do remember he used to tell us again and again.
I will remember this for the rest of my life! He said:”

“Kinderlach, tayereh zisseh kinderlach.
Promise me you will remember this forever:
The greatest thing in the whole wide world is to do someone else a favor.”

“In the camps, when I realized my whole family was gone in flames, it was a dark night, I thought to put my life to an end.
Then I heard the Rebbe’s voice echoing in my ears: ‘Remember, do a favor for someone else’.
Do you know how many favors you can do at night in Auschwitz? Broken people all around. Then more arrive. I sat all night listening, giving them empathy and love. I guess that’s how I survived.”

“Kinderlach, children oh sweet precious kinderlach.
Promise me you will remember this forever:
The greatest thing in the whole wide world is to do someone else a favor.”

“Even to this day, sometimes I feel my life has no purpose, I go into the sea, his voice comes in my ears:
“Kinderlach, remember the greatest thing in the world!
You know how much good the world needs today!”

Everyone is different
Distances between
And Fixing it is not as simple as it seems
But there is understanding
If you just believe
Together we will all join hearts in unity
Love will help you to be brave rushing in just like the waves
You don’t have to be afraid when we all believe

You and I are one
And wherever we’re from
We all shine under the same sun
Love could never be wrong
And it helps us be strong
as we face the unknown

You can call me brother
Come to me in need
And I know that you’ll be there if ever it were me
Love will cross an ocean, deeper than the sea
It’s possible we’ll make impossibilities

Love will help you to be brave rushing in just like the waves
You don’t have to be afraid when we all believe

You and I are one
And wherever we’re from
We all shine under the same sun
Love could never be wrong
And it helps us be strong
As we face the unknown

Like a shadow and now
that the sun’s going down
Love still follows us around and I hope it always will
It’s a matter of faith
Just imagine a place
Where hate has been erased
It’s not hard if you try

You and I are one
And wherever we’re from
We all shine under the same sun
Love could never be wrong
And it helps us be strong
As we face the unknown
You and I are one
And wherever we’re from
We all shine under the same sun
And it helps us be strong
As we face the unknown

AWARD-WINNING SOUTH AFRICAN JEWISH SINGER RELEASES SINGLE OFF LONG-AWAITED DEBUT ALBUM

$

L’dor Vador, the first single off Choni G’s soon to be released album, is a fresh take on one of the world’s best loved traditional Jewish choral ballads.

Choni Goldman, aka Choni G, the fresh-faced ‘pop’ chazan of the historic Cape Town Hebrew Congregation, or Gardens Shul (the city’s oldest and most famous synagogue), is known for gooseflesh-inducing renditions of ancient Jewish prayers and melodies. His latest single, a contemporary remix of L’dor Vador, is no exception.

The popular ballad by American cantor and composer of contemporary Jewish liturgical music, Meir Finkelstein, speaks to Jewish continuity through the ages, and the passing on of traditions from generation to generation.

“It’s a moving modern choral song that’s popular in synagogues around the world and with our congregation. I performed it at a very special havdalah concert at a bar mitzvah recently and the vibe was so electric, I was inspired to record a version for the album, even though I’d already completed the song selection” says Choni.

Choni’s debut album – ‘5780’ – is scheduled for release in December this year. The 16-track album showcases his distinctive sound: uplifting and emotive melodies that have their roots in Jewish spirituality, yet resonate with audiences from all walks of life.

“The album also features a mix of dance, hip hop beats and a lot of soul. Some tracks are originals and some are reimagined classics, but there’s an African thread throughout” says Choni.

A household name in the South African Jewish community, Choni has performed at events around the world.

“I grew up in a synagogue with a strong chazan and choir, which made a big impact on me and continues to influence my music. You could say that I’m remixing my childhood memories” says Choni.
