The song Laga’at Ba’sod was written in memory of the 13 fighters of Gedud Nachshon who were killed during their reserve duty in 2002. The friends of the fallen turned to Yonatan Razel to compose a song in honor of the 15th Yahrtzeit of their fellows.

Avi Beer Releases “Yigdal” Sefira Version

Avi spent almost two years in the Yeshiva Boys Choir and has since then been writing music with hopes to one day produce them all. Yigdal is a song about the oneness and greatness of G-D and that there is no being like him. Dear Camp Agudah,
As we write this letter to you, we are all reeling from the terrible tragedy which occurred just last week, when our beloved friend and counselor Yisroel Levin and his kallah Elisheva Kaplan were r”l killed in a car accident. All of us felt a close connection to Yisroel, and it’s impossible to put into words just how painful this is to everyone. None of us will ever forget Yisroel’s warm smile, his sense of humor, his personality, everything about him that made him so special. While it is impossible to give a full account of all the amazing qualities Yisroel had, there are a few that stick out. Simchas hachaim, pure joy of life. Yisroel was the happiest person any of us ever met. Tefillah. His Tefillah was unparalleled- watching him daven was a lesson on how to relate to Hashem. Friendship. As his friends we know how special he made us feel. We were each his best friend. And family. As we heard, his family was his life. A loving son, brother, uncle, and Chosson, he truly made everyone feel like a million dollars. As Yidden, we have a day which embodies all of these special qualities. Shabbos Kodesh. Shabbos is a day that is all about family, friends, tefillah, and simple joy. And who exuded more joy on this day then Yisroel? The qualities of Shabbos were all clearly inherent in Yisroel’s life. He loved Shabbos, and he exemplified everything Shabbos is about.
With this in mind, we feel humbled to have the zechus to present to you this production in memory of our dear Yisroel A”H. Shabbos Kodesh, the 2017 Orange Team theme song, is an a cappella production, and a fitting tribute to Yisroel Ben Yeshayahu A”H. Much like Shabbos itself, music has the power to uplift and inspire us. It is our fervent hope that this production, which combines both these powerful tools, will bring us all some degree of nechama during this most difficult time.
We’d like to thank the special people who put so much hard work into this production. Our super talented producer Naftali Blumenthal for EVERYTHING. All the hours of work you put in and topping it all off by coming through for us at the last minute when we needed you. Menachem Kramer for going above and beyond what anyone could’ve dreamed. Shua Frank for lending us your special voice. May you continue to use it along with your enthusiasm to serve Hashem. Thanks as well to your father for all the help. Aaron Eliezer Pilchick, thank you for always dealing with our complaints/suggestions and for your commitment to making an absolutely perfect cover. And Eli Serebrowski for your technical assistance. And of course, even in the difficult times, we thank Hashem for everything he’s given us.
The following addition to this write-up was added 3 days after the song came out, but for very good reason. At the Shiva house when Mrs. Levin was told about the song “Shabbos Kodesh” that was dedicated in Yisroel’s memory, she related the following incredible entry about Shabbos that she found in a diary of Yisroel’s. He wrote about how much he loved Yeshiva Darchei Torah, how he was thankful for his friends and Rebbeim etc. He said he feels his life was comparable to a week followed by Shabbos. A whole week long, even if you love what you are doing, it can still be tiring. The daily grind and hustle needs a break at some point. At the end of the week the ultimate break comes, and that is Shabbos. He explained how he considered Darchei his “week”, and after a long week he needed time to unwind on Shabbos. Camp Agudah, he said, was his Shabbos. Camp afforded him the chance to relax in a beautiful setting after a year full of Ameilus B’Torah and growth. We all know how much Yisroel loved Camp Agudah. If camp was like Shabbos to him, how much must he have loved Shabbos!
We can only hope that this song inspires us to live our lives in Yisroel’s example, to have a greater appreciation for the power of Shabbos, the day that “there every week, spirit it lifts”, during this time, when we need it most. Until we are once again reunited with Yisroel with the coming of Mashiach, at least we can say, “for all that I do, it guards me too”.

Six13 – Mi Shebeirach (A Prayer for the IDF Soldiers) featuring Chaim Dovid Berson
Today, on Yom Hazikaron, we honor and remember Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror. Israel is a small nation with a huge impact on the world and on our lives. Before we celebrate its independence, we pause for a moment to reflect on those whom we’ve lost.
“Mi Sheberach” is a prayer for the soldiers of Israel’s Defense Forces that is sung to the tune of “El Eretz Tzvi” by Yehoram Gaon.
We at Six13 had the honor and privilege of singing this song with 2 great cantors, Chaim Dovid Berson of the Jewish Center and Dan Singer of Stephen Wise Free Synagogue. We hope it helps bring some extra meaning to an emotionally charged day.
May we realize the prophetic promise and see the day when nation will no longer fight against nation and will prepare for war no more.

Yossi Lebowitz Releases New Acapella Song “Horachamon” feat. Zemiros Group
About a year ago, Jewish music fans were introduced to a unique and new sound in Jewish music. Newcomer Yossi Lebowitz released his debut single Keil N’komos, a high energy pure rock song unlike anything Jewish music has heard to date, and fans loved it. He followed it up with the release of his debut album titled K’chochvei Hashomayim. Not only were all the songs on the album composed by Yossi himself, but it also featured collabs with the best in the business including; Freilach Band, Blue Melody, Yisroel Lamm, Zemiros Group, and even famed producer Eli Gerstner. The album had every musical style out there, and was a real treat to music fans across the globe.
Now, special for Sefira, Yossi has been working on a new composition. This new song titled “Horachamon,” is a Hartzig Nigun whose lyrics talks about the rebuilding of the Beis Hamikdash. It is said every night after counting Sefira. Yossi actually composed the song during sefira a few years ago, while davening at the Kosel one Friday night. Yossi wanted to keep the song’s authenticity, since the song is being heard for the first time in Acapella. That is when he approached singer, arranger and choir master Yoily Polatseck of the Zemiros Group to help produce and arrange the track. Yoily agreed, and kept the songs arrangement as simplistic as possible, to allow for the beauty of the song to shine through on its own. The harmonious voices of Zemiros group coupled with Lebowitz’s simple yet Hartzig vocals are sure to have you singing this Nigun as we’re yearning for the Bayis Hashlishi.
May we be Zoche to the coming of Moshiach B’karov…

Amram Adar feat Itzik Shamli & The Maccabeats “Despacito A Cappella”
Undoubtedly, one of the BIGGEST songs of the last 10 months was Despacito by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi featuring rapper Daddy Yankee. The song is THE most viewed YouTube video, boasting over 5.06 billion views. Therefore, it was no wonder when Miami singer Amram Adar released Despacito the “Jewish Version” last summer, and featured the song on his second album.
The song, released as an amazing lyrical music video went viral, with videos posted on social media of singers performing the song at weddings and simchas. Even more so, Amram has been contacted by Jewish schools across the world, including locations like; Brazil, South America, Argentina, Australia and more. These schools are teaching children the lyrics of the song almost as part of the curriculum. The Jewish Despacito is being hailed as THE biggest song in Jewish music right now, making Amram more in demand. It seems that every week he is jetting off to another location around the globe to spread this positive message.
With sefira in full swing, singer Amram Adar hooked up with THE boys of acapella, the world renowned Maccabeats who are known for their acapella prowess, to bring you the most authentic Jewish Despacito vocal version ever heard. This special acapella version will also feature the original duet with renowned Israeli singer Itzik Shamli who wrote the original Hebrew lyrics to the song. These three giants Adar, Shamli and the Maccabeats make for a powerful vocal rendition of this mega popular song, enabling you to enjoy it even now during sefira.
Always have in mind the message of the lyrics, to “take things slow or to slow down.” This Jewish version of the song talks about taking life slow and living it to the fullest. Trust in Hashem that all is for the best and to take one day at a time. What a perfect message for this time of year, when we are all in that final stretch of work and school before Summer break/vacation.

Yaakov Shwekey Releases New Single “Aleph Bais Gimmel” [MUSIC]
No, it’s not another song to help children learn the Aleph-Beis. Jewish music leaders Yaakov Shwekey and Yitzy Waldner teamed up with Reb Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin to produce a song about emunah and bitachon.
Aleph, Beis, Gimmel was Sholom Mordechai’s secret as he maintained his faith in Hashem despite being behind bars.
Many heard the phrase – and the iron trust in Hashem it represents – for the first time when Sholom Mordechai referred to it upon his miraculous release. He and his family have been living with it for much longer.
Five years ago, Yaakov Shwekey travelled to Otisville with Yitzy Walder and a group of Jews to bring some joy and support to our brothers held there. They braced themselves to face downtrodden, depressed people. They prayed for success in fighting the oppressive influence prison has on inmates and visitors, hoping to leave a feeling of encouragement that would outlast their time there.
To their astonishment, they were met by palpable joy, as Reb Sholom Mordechai bounded into the room. He embraced them each, thanking them for coming.
What followed was an inspiring experience, not only for the inmates, but for Yaakov and Yitzy – a group expression of love for Hashem and joy in our connection to Him, expressed with song and dance, punctuated by Reb Sholom Mordechai‘s exuberant somersaults.
Driving back to the city, Yaakov and Yitzy tried to digest their experience. What was the source of the faith and trust and joy in Hashem they had just witnessed from this extraordinary Yid?
They were determined to return and repeat the experience and perhaps even learn the secret of this supernatural strength. They returned several times, leaving inspired after every visit.
Inspired by Reb Sholom Mordechai, Miriam Israeli wrote the lyrics and Yitzy Waldner composed the song Maamin Benisim. Yaakov promised Reb Sholom Mordechai that when he’d be released, he would come to sing the song with him at his home in Monsey. When Yaakov kept his word and went to sing that song in Monsey, Reb Sholom Mordechai suggested composing a new song to further the inspiration.
The source of Reb Sholom Mordechai‘s strength, his emunah and bitachon, has been and continues to be shared with larger and larger audiences. Wherever he goes, he shares details of his story and the circumstances he endured, and he sums it up for his audience: Aleph, Beis, Gimmel: emunah, bitachon, geulah.
It’s a battle cry that has carried him and his family through the fight for his life. They emerged victorious, waving his statement of bitachon like a banner for all to see.
Music is the language of the soul, a language Yaakov and Yitzy speak well. They have translated the message into song to express it more powerfully than mere words ever could. Arranged and mixed by Avrumi Berko, the song will be released for Lag Ba’omer, a day of happiness and belief.
May the inspiration carry us through our challenges and hardships, helping us connect to our loving Father and bring us home to Him.

Matt Dubb – Heilig (feat. Worch)
Behind the making of this record…
About two years back I started working on this track based on my influences from music producer Tim Bergling AKA Avicii. He was one of the main reasons I began producing electronic music. His music inspired/influenced me which words can not. When I heard of his sudden death I went back into the session and decided it was time to finish it and share it with you all. RIP.
The story behind the Vocals…
Almost every Shabbos there is a kiddish at the Breslov / Kerestier shul in Flatbush after Shachris. At this Kidish Mendy Worch leads us with his singing/ zemiros. One of the songs he sings is his rendition to the famous “Bardichev Nigun” as heard in this song – with a taste of Shabbos – the melody touches my sole every time I hear it. I gave Mendy a call with the idea of doing a collaboration with his rendition – the rest is for you to listen…
I hope you all enjoy as much at it was creating!
