Vetaher Libeinu – BERI Weber
Some Songs resonate, some may motivate, while others simply captivate… and every once in a while a gem comes along that encompasses so many feelings and pulls at so many strings, that it leaves you breathless.
When Beri first heard this song, it was as if the composer himself had reached into his soul and read his personal thoughts. His deep connection to the words ״וטהר ליבנו לעבדך באמת״ endeared him to make this his next big hit single.
No פסוק better describes our feelings in these pre Judgement Days like the one imploring Hashem to purify our hearts so that we may serve him in truth. We go through life expecting our days to go as we plan it…a stable job, a healthy family, a peaceful marriage, a nice house with the picket fence etc. We fortify ourselves with pure גשמיעת , material things like college degrees and insurance policies, thinking that it will protect us and giving us a false sense of security. In reality, our lives are like the oceans, with cresting waves and low tides, throwing us curveball after curveball. But we recognize that the only way to serve Hashem is by being true to our heart and purifying it with רוחניות thereby creating a solid core that will help us weather life’s many obstacles. By being honest to yourself and elevating your נשמה and not your social status, you will be able to serve ה׳ truthfully and be able to withstand anything.
Brought to you by Shimshy Neiman, the renowned composer of the hit song “Neshoma Vee Bist Dee”, with arrangements by the always amazing Naftali Schnitzler and choir by the talented Eli Shprei, this song will surely be the new kumzits hit!

New Single for Rosh Hashana ft. Eli Marcus, Mendi Jerufi, Chony Milecki
Three performers have teamed up to create a stunning new single, a moving song about the love Hashem has for His people.
Kevakoras, from the words in the solemn “Unesane Tokef” prayer recited during the High Holidays, is performed by musicians Eli Marcus, Mendy Jerufi and Chony Milecki.
Bringing the artists together is music producer Davidi Crombie, who regularly assists in music productions, weddings and concerts, and enjoys introducing local singers to new audiences.
Kevakoras is the first original composition by singer Eli Marcus. “The song is about Hashem lovingly counting and looking over His nation as a shepherd cares for flock, with a smile and love,” Marcus told COLlive.
Also featured on the single is musician Chony Milecki, whose talent as a popular wedding musician in the Chabad industry is well known. Milecki arranged the music for Kevakoras, and performs the soulful piano in the song well.
“When creating the music arrangements for this song, I chose chords with a simplicity that illustrate the awe and tension of Teshuva, but also its tenderness and love,” Milecki told COLlive.
“The message of the music is that we don’t get to push this off. Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are coming and there will be a reckoning. Don’t avoid it; don’t be afraid of it. Embrace it and grow from it, because Hashem will judges us with love.”
The song marks the first time Israeli singer Mendy Jerufi recorded in the United States, which he says was an emotional and exciting experience.
“Who isn’t moved when hearing the “Unesaneh Tokef” prayer? You can actually hear all our emotion when you listen to the song,” said Jerufi.
Zevi Weinstock Releases Debut Single: “Shir Shel Shevach” In Memory of His Father
Presenting a exciting new single from newcomer Zevi Weinstock. Not only can Zevi sing, but he composed the song as well. Produced by Doni Gross and Ari Cukier (of Lev Tahor fame) this new song has it all, great harmonies, easy to listen to and hartz.
Zevi certainly is no stranger to the music industry. His father, Shavy Weinstock released a hit “record” back in the 70’s titled “The Kochavim.” The album featured Rivie Schwebel and Bentzi Schachter as lead vocalists. Shavy was beloved by everyone and was one of the most positive people you have ever met. However in 2001 Shavy A”H was suddenly taken from us at the age of 49.
For the last 20 years Zevi has been hard at work on his craft, composing songs, many in honor of his father’s memory.
Now the time has come to release his debut single “Shir Shel Shevach” one of his favorite songs in his father’s memory. With no production experience, Zevi contacted Lev Tahor band member and longtime friend Ari Cukier to assist him with the production and vocals. Ari worked with the talented producer/arranger/composer Doni Gross to create the beautiful song.
Shir Shel Shevach is available for download on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/shir-shel-shevach-feat-ari-cukier-single/id1282439216

Nir & Ido Kepten “Yeled”
About four months ago, Nir and Ido Kepten performed at a special Bar Mitzvah for a child named Yuri, the only child of his family, who came from the former Soviet Union. They performed together the song Yeled, originally from Lior Narkis. It was an incredible performance and definitely a night that no one who was there will ever forget. About a month ago Nir got a phone call from Yuri’s mother, who wanted them to record the song they sang so beautifully at the Bar Mitzvah.
Moshe Storch “Tiku” [Official Music Video]
Moshe Storch releases his composition “Tiku” Erev Rosh Hashana 5778, produced by Bentzi Marcus of the 8th day Band.
The song came to life originally on a ukelele in the back of a crowded tender heading to Uman from Kiev for R”H 5776, it was on that trip that Moshe heard the news that his sister Hudis had been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. After she battled 22 months and won the spiritual battle in this world, she went back to her Creator on June 8th 2017.
Now 3 months after her passing Moshe releases this song L’ilu Neshmasa! We pray that Hashem gives us all a happy and healthy new year and answers all of our prayers!

Duet For Yomim Noroim “Misoid”– Eliezer Schweber & Yitzchak Meir
The Tefillos of Rosh Hashana are full of meaningful words, that connect powerfully with the sea of tunes that are used throughout the day. Eliezer Schweber took the major words of the “permission for the Shliach Ha’Tzibbur”, which is said before Chazzaras Ha’Shatz of Mussaf, and recomposed them for the spirit of the Yamim Ha’Noraim.
He enlisted singer Yitzchak Meir to help him perform this composition, and together they have a special duet that will bring you into the spirit of the Yomim Noraim. The song was arranged by Jeff Horvitch, and the piano arrangement was by Eli Laufer.
This single is the first from the upcoming album Ha’Me’orerim 3.
The Maccabeats – This Is the New Year – Rosh Hashanah
There’s a lot of great music out there, but every so often we’ll hear a song for the first time and just know that this is a song we need to sing.
A Great Big World’s “This Is the New Year,” was one of those songs. Its catchy melody, captivating meter (try counting along, we dare you!), and driving rhythm are only exceeded by it’s powerful and timely messages.
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is replete with contradictory ideas: a time set aside for introspection is celebrated as a community; “the day of judgement” is also a festival; and “the day of remembrance” is a day we spend looking forward to the coming year. This year’s song doesn’t shy away from these complicated ideas, telling us to “embrace the past” and “live for now;” asking us “pray for the life we’ve wanted” for ourselves but also to “tear the wall down that divides us;” and reminding us that though the world was created for each of us, “there’s so much to be done.”
Wishing all of our friends and family a happy, healthy, sweet, and musical new year!
Yitzy Bald Proudly Presents A Gift For The New Year “New York Boys Choir 3: Menagen”
The boys are back! The New York Boys Choir that is, along with legendary producer Yitzy Bald to help you celebrate the new year with fresh new music. Menagen is the culmination of over three years of work, which started right after the release of their last album NYBC 2: The Sequel. Yitzy still has the touch. From the man that wrote hit songs for Dovid Gabay, Avraham Fried, MBD, Michoel Pruzansky and literally every other name in the industry, come not ten but sixteen all new songs! While NYBC 2 was very English heavy with original English lyric songs, this new album only has two. With that said, Yitzy is still the master of Hebrew sometimes writing his own lyrics. All the songs, arrangements, vocals, and messages on this album are written and sung with heart and soul. They are fun, fresh, and meaningful all at the same time. Yitzy worked on the arrangement with two big hitters in the musical world to make sure the sound was fresh, Aryeh Kunstler and Doni Gross. Aryeh even did some of the backup vocals on some of the songs, instilling some of his amazing flavor to the NYBC sound. Missing that “fresh” sound in Jewish music? Need something uplifting to help you get through you’re day? Look no further NYBC 3: Menagen has it all. The album is in stores now through Aderet Music and available for digital download on all major platforms.
So start off the New Year on a high note… MENAGEN!
